In modern mass production, where raw materials are processed continuously, laboratory equipment must ensure maximum reliability without frequent calibration breaks. Even a minimal change in particle size during the grinding or mixing process can lead to poorer mechanical properties of the final product or increased energy consumption. The DeepSizer 300 was developed in response to the industry's need for a robust, intelligent and highly accurate laser analyzer that can handle intensive workloads and deliver stable results regardless of external laboratory environmental factors.

The technological core of this analyzer is a modernized single-lens collimated beam optical system. This configuration allows you to direct the laser light through the sample cell in a perfectly straight trajectory, and focus the scattered rays directly onto a uniquely shaped, highly sensitive photodiode detector array. Thanks to this solution, the device captures light scattering over an extremely wide angle, which allows you to simultaneously accurately measure both submicron subfractions and larger granules up to one millimeter in size. The optical path is fully protected by a hermetic housing, protecting sensitive components from dust and moisture, which is a common occurrence in industrial laboratories.

Sample preparation plays a crucial role in laser diffraction. If fine powders remain in the liquid in agglomerates, the instrument will measure the size of the agglomerate instead of the primary particle, which will lead to incorrect production decisions. The DeepSizer 300 has a fully integrated wet dispersion module consisting of a high-performance centrifugal pump, automatic control valves and an integrated powerful ultrasonic homogenizer. The ultrasonic waves effectively break up all interparticle agglomerations directly in the circulation loop, and the pump speed is precisely controlled to prevent heavy particles from settling in the tubes during measurement.

The instrument software package is designed with user-friendliness and data security in mind. Using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) control, the entire measurement sequence – from water addition, background scanning, ultrasonic treatment to system flushing – is fully automated according to an algorithm pre-defined by the engineer. The software uses advanced Mie and Fraunhofer computational models that instantly process the obtained scattering data and provide easy-to-understand percentage distributions and graphs.

To ensure full integration into modern industrial infrastructure, the DeepSizer 300 supports direct data export to the factory’s LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and other quality control applications. The device has an automatic laser alignment function that checks the optical axis before each test and, if necessary, adjusts it with micron accuracy. This ensures that even after many years of intensive use, the device will maintain its original factory accuracy, meeting the requirements of the ISO 13320 standard.
