Subsonic wind tunnel Mod. TUS-E/EV – is a specialized educational equipment designed for researching the performance of airfoils in subsonic conditions. The device allows for detailed measurements and experiments, studying aerodynamic parameters such as lift and drag forces, polar curves, efficiency diagrams, and other important data.
Technical characteristics:
- Main body: Fiberglass construction with clear Plexiglas test chamber; internal diameter – 290 mm, length – 550 mm; chamber pressure: 15 ÷ 80 mm of water.
- Fan: Axial design, driven by an asynchronous 3 kW motor with inverter for speed regulation (0–2900 rpm).
- Measuring equipment:
- Differential micromanometers (2 pcs.);
- Pressure measuring device in the test chamber;
- Pitot tube for measuring medium fluid velocity (up to 30 m/s);
- Electronic scales for measuring lifting and resistance forces;
- 10 piezometric tubes for measuring pressure around the wing profile.
- Fog/smog generation system: Model S900, power 900 W, fog generation 70 m³/min.
- Additional equipment:
- Airfoils (NACA series – NACA 0012, NACA 4412, etc.);
- Model tilt adjustment knob;
- Anti-vibration frame system.
- Data acquisition software:
- Data collection and analysis;
- Calculation of lift (CL) and drag (CD) coefficients based on angle of attack.
