Miniature Leaf Spectrophotometer CID Bio-Science SpectraVue
Highly portable and field-ready, this leaf spectrometer measures light absorption, transmittance and reflectance in a single scan. The system consists of a spectrometer with a leaf probe attachment, built-in operating software and a display. Two broadband light sources are mounted inside the device: one in the leaf clamp for transmittance measurements, the other inside for reflectance measurements. The spectrometer module collects light from the leaf probe attachment and projects the scattered light of the wavelengths onto a CCD array. The system’s operating software then displays the light intensity of each pixel on the CCD array. It is a valuable tool for agronomists, plant physiologists, ecologists and educators, allowing them to measure the effects of environmental factors on the content of nutrients and pigments. SpectraVue can be used for quantitative determination of chemical concentrations, color analysis and photochemical reaction studies. The green spectrum can be used in chemometric methods such as PLS modeling. The spectrometer with a spectral range of 360-1100 nm provides advanced analytical spectrum, while the fully integrated spectral analysis software and over 40 built-in indices allow you to gain real-time insights into your data. Easily track measurement locations using integrated GPS tagging to collect traceable data over time. The full-color 7-inch IPS touchscreen allows for easy data management and analysis right on the device.
