Using advanced laser technology, this meter is an accurate and convenient way to measure leaf area (or leaf-like objects). Simply slide the scanner over the leaf to get precise, non-destructive measurements. The portable laser leaf area meter measures area, length, width and perimeter, as well as calculates aspect ratio and aspect ratio. No calibration is required. You can easily collect data from the same plant or the same leaf over its lifetime. Even tender leaves can be measured using the transparent cover for protection, and wrinkled leaves are flattened for accurate measurements. The stand-alone device features a high-resolution laser scanner, built-in data logger and LCD display. A USB port allows you to transfer data to a printer or computer. The kit includes a pallet-type scanning plate, a laser scanner with built-in control unit, an internal battery, a battery charger, communication software, one additional transparent film, a hard-shell instrument carrying case, and an instruction manual.
