WinDIAS Leaf Image Analysis System
The latest version of the WinDIAS 3 Leaf Image Analysis System provides fast and accurate measurement of leaf area and other leaf characteristics, making it ideal for plant pathology and phenotyping studies. WinDIAS analysis functions are ideal for applications where accurate color separation is important.
WinDIAS features:
- Quick leaf area measurement: The system can measure leaf area, perimeter, length, width, number of objects, and more.
- Measuring the area of disease and damaged leaves: Measures the area of healthy, diseased and pest-damaged leaves.
- Color selection by clicking: Using the mouse, primary and secondary thresholds are usually set to separate color zones.
- Conveyor option: For high-speed sheet processing up to 800 sheets per hour.
Latest improvements:
- Lower conveyor belt system prices
- Dimmable LED lighting
- Improved seed counting capability
- Improved Region of Interest drawing tool
WinDIAS system versions:
- Main system: With A4 scanner.
- Standard system: With a video camera.
- Fast system: Includes a conveyor belt that allows processing up to 800 sheets per hour.
Measuring and editing: WinDIAS analyzes threshold regions to measure area, perimeter, length, width, roundness, elongation and form factor. Calibration is performed using a ruler. Images can be edited on-screen, allowing the user to correct boundaries, separate overlapping objects, remove unwanted “noise” and holes, add or delete lines or rectangles and fill limited areas with any color.
Counting objects: WinDIAS quickly counts seeds, needles or other small objects (even if they are touching). Color thresholding allows you to easily distinguish between different types of objects or disease spots. Dust and debris can be removed by setting a minimum object area.
Data and image exchange: WinDIAS imports images in bmp, jpg and tif formats, and the results can be saved as txt files for easy import into Excel. All results and images from WinDIAS are easy to exchange with other Windows applications.
Fast batch processing of image files: WinDIAS can automatically analyze a large number of leaf images, acting as a virtual conveyor. This feature saves a lot of time when processing images obtained in the field or when they are sent for processing from remote research laboratories. Images in bmp, jpg or tif format are suitable for processing.
The batch processing mode is easy to use – just select a folder with target images. WinDIAS will automatically load each image, measure it, and save the results in the same folder.
