Erler-Zimmer GmbH & Co. KG Papillary renal pelvis carcinoma 3D model:
- Model Number: MP2099
- Clinical history:
A 60-year-old man who had worked in a paint factory for 40 years developed painful hematuria over a month. A CT scan showed a suspected tumor in the left renal pelvis. He underwent nephrectomy. - Pathology:
This is a kidney after nephrectomy. It should be noted that the kidney retains its embryonic lobulation. A fragile, growing tumor measuring 35 mm in diameter is visible in the renal pelvis. The renal pelvis is markedly dilated due to this obstructive tumor. Histological examination revealed that it is a papillary transitional cell carcinoma arising from the renal pelvis.
