The SM150 Moisture Meter Kit provides an affordable and easy-to-use tool for obtaining reliable moisture measurements with minimal disturbance to the soil or substrate.
Introduction
The kit consists of the SM150T* Soil Moisture Sensor, the dedicated HH150 Moisture Meter and a carrying case. The cable and connector are waterproof – a must for those who may be in wet environments.
The HH150 Meter displays the volumetric fraction of water content (% volume). It is worth noting that although the SM150T sensor has a built-in temperature sensor, the HH150 Moisture Meter does not measure or display temperature.
Easy to use
The HH150 handheld moisture meter is lightweight and very easy to use, being a read-only device (no data logging or computer complications). Operation is simple – simply insert the SM150T into the soil or substrate and press the „Read“ button to get a measurement.
Horticultural applications
The SM150 Kit has substrate calibrations for mineral, peat moss, coco, rock wool and perlite materials (and also provides a pure voltage output) – providing a fast, robust solution for checking the integrity of growing conditions for a wide range of growing substrate types.
The SM150T is easy to insert and install – its sharp pins cause minimal soil disturbance and preserve the original soil structure around the measuring rods.
Other Delta-T soil moisture measurement kits
Two alternative moisture measurement kits from Delta-T Devices are available if higher accuracy or electrical conductivity (EC) measurement is required.
*The SM150 Kit was previously available with the SM150 Sensor, but is now available with the SM150T Sensor.
