When he visited the emergency department several years later, he complained of bone pain and had hepatomegaly and pleural effusion. He died shortly thereafter.<\/li>\n<li>Pathology:<br \/>\nThis specimen is a loop of small intestine mounted to expose the mesentery, which is filled with numerous small, dark brown, round nodules ranging in size from the size of a head to approximately 1 cm in diameter.
