The idea behind this technique is that when a material is heated, the reflectance of the surface changes, and this can be used to determine thermal properties.<\/li>\n<li>The reflectance is measured over time, and the resulting data is used to find a fitting model that contains coefficients that correspond to the thermal properties.<\/li>\n<li>There is a second possible configuration called \u201eFront Heating \/ Front Detection\u201d (FF). Unlike the conventional setup, the infrared detectors are located in the same location as the laser.
